Following the Religion & Art Symposium hosted by the Art Department, Goldsmiths in 2020, artists, theorists and PhD researchers expressed a keen interest in continuing these exchanges.

The Religion & Art Forum responded to that expression, with invited speakers presenting their work in an informal discussion forum, interested in a range of perspectives on questions of religion and art, with a focus on personal and collective experience and practice, rather than sociological or anthropological observation.

The Religion & Art Forum took place in 2021 on a monthly basis, with four presentations of up to 20mins each followed by a brief Q&A. Sessions were informally moderated by Nina Danino (Goldsmiths College) and Mark Dean (Arts Chaplaincy Projects). Further information and recordings of sessions can be accessed via the links in the Schedule.
